Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) is a parent/child music and movement class for children newborn through age 3 in which character development is as important as musical skills. Our goal is to create a loving, pressure-free environment that allows parents to guide their children in the development of social, emotional, cognitive, and musical skills. Through repetition in class and at home, children gain confidence, as well as skill, in the activities and songs sung in class. Upon graduating from the class, children are ready to begin Suzuki instrumental study.
There are 14 60-minute sessions each semester. Tuition includes curriculum CD and SECE booklet. Fall 2018 SECE courses will be offered on Saturdays at 9:00am. Children under 5 months old may attend tuition free (materials and registration fee still apply) until their 5-month birthday when registering for an entire term.

You may RSVP for a free trial class by calling the SSN Office or emailing us.
Suzuki Prep is a pre-instrumental Suzuki music class for children ages 3 to 4 and an accompanying adult caregiver in a group setting. Students sing, move to music, perform pre-instrumental Suzuki activities, and hear live instrument demonstrations from the SSN faculty. The class introduces the student and parent to the Suzuki Method and prepares the child for Suzuki instrumental study.
There are fourteen 45-minute sessions for the Fall 2018 semester. Classes will take place on Fridays at 2:45pm.

Early Beginners classes are available on violin, cello, guitar, or piano for children ages 4 to 5. These group classes are limited to 3 students, small enough to allow for individual attention. Early Beginners is designed to introduce very young children to an instrument in a fun and gentle way. Students then transition into the SSN core program after one to two semesters. In addition to learning technique on the instrument, emphasis is on development of social skills such as listening, waiting, and following the leader, and on introducing the parent(s) to the Suzuki philosophy. Children are admitted to these classes by interview with the instrument teacher. The class meets 16 times per semester, either for 45 minutes (3 students) or for 30 minutes (2 students). We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2018 semester. Parents must first attend a parent information session, followed by an interview with a teacher. Observing a current student’s lesson is strongly encouraged.
