Welcome from the Director
Welcome to the Suzuki School of Newton! Now in its 23rd musical season, our school believes that all children can learn a love and respect for music that can enrich them throughout their lives—and we invite you to come visit us. Come hear the music making and learning that takes place throughout our school. Our curriculum is based upon the teaching philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, and our mission is to promote early childhood intellectual, cultural and character development through music. We teach to the “whole child,” and as research has proven, music learning leads to many other positive effects throughout ones lifetime. Enrollment in our school begins from observing classes and meeting our wonderful faculty. We maintain an open door policy and invite parents to attend an orientation session to answer your questions. Please look at our calendar and join us for one of our free concerts either in-school or outreach in the community. From Suzuki Prep for two to four year olds to adult instrument lessons, SSN has programs for learning classical music from beginners to advanced players. There are limited spaces for second semester beginning 1/23/09, and we urge you to contact us if you are thinking of Fall 2009. We think music is in the heart of us all!—Sachiko Isihara, Director
