Full-Time PRESCHOOL TEACHER
for Integrated Arts Preschool
Qualifications:
EEC Teacher certification or comparable out-of-state licensure. Thorough knowledge and understanding of early childhood growth, development and education. Must have a creative spirit as a preschool lead teacher of our integrated arts curriculum and in order to support curriculum integration. Experience in visual art or the performing arts is a plus. Must love children, be flexible and organized, be an excellent communicator and listener, must have a vision for children in a creative learning environment; current first aid & CPR certification.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to classroom design and management of classroom
Plan, develop and implement curricula as age appropriate
Research and implement elements of Suzuki teaching in the classroom
Establish and implement student assessment tools
Participate actively in Parent communications, e-newsletter, parent conferences
Be an active team member,
Be current with first aid & CPR certification
Adhere to policies indicated in the Staff Handbook
Additional responsibilities may occur to aid in the smooth operation of the preschool
All teachers are required to follow the guidelines in the Health & Safety Protocol that will be provided during orientation.

The Suzuki Preschool was founded in 2009. Salary & Benefits:
Suzuki School of Newton offers a competitive salary range of $55K-58K annually, paid time off, bank and school holidays, group health plan, and a voluntary 403B Retirement plan. Benefits include a budget for professional development to pursue learning opportunities to build and strengthen the skills required in this role. This position will be compensated at $25-$28/hour based on experience.

Registrar and Operations Coordinator
Description:
The Registrar and Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing registration and scheduling for the Suzuki School of Newton’s student body of approximately 300 music students and provides support as needed for the Suzuki Preschool. The Registrar is the first line of communication to families, scheduler, sender of electronic scheduling information, and updater of the enrollment database. Working in close collaboration with the Director of Operations, bookkeeper, and the Marketing and Enrollment Specialist, together they ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the school.
The Registrar is also the main point of contact for incoming inquiries from prospective students, and they are responsible for initiating the enrollment process in collaboration with the enrollment manager, and supporting the Director of Operations with communications among all faculty, staff, Board, and families. The registrar handles the day to day billing and invoicing of families as well as light auditing of accounts and communication of payments and program changes to the bookkeeper.
The Operations Coordinator portion of this role is responsible for managing room equipment, room assignments, and teacher schedules as well as assisting teachers with any technical and facilities related needs during the regular course of the day. The coordinator is expected to work together with the admin team to make sure on-site events are managed properly, which on occasion may require flexible hours with advanced notice to work during an event.
The position is 26 hours a week with the possibility of expanding to full time in September 2025. Office hours are as follows:
Saturdays 8:30am - 3:00pm
Sundays 8:30am - 1pm (somewhat flexible)
Mondays 10:00am - 6:30pm
Tuesdays 10:00am - 6:30pm
The school has a group health insurance plan and a Retirement 403B plan.
Candidates should be local and able to work the office hours specified for in-person operations.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a clear communicator with knowledge of classical music and Suzuki music education, be extremely organized and able to multitask efficiently, be a good spokesperson with strong verbal and writing skills, and have accurate math skills (for collecting tuition). Ability to learn quickly is essential.
