We receive grants…
Our administrative team works hard to apply for grants which will contribute to our scholarship fund. The grants we receive are sometimes given to us to be allocated towards a specific group of people — women, piano players, etc.
We fundraise…
Many of our enrichment opportunities for our students include fundraising, a portion of which goes to our scholarship fund in order to allow new music students to be given the opportunity to learn an instrument.
We allocate funds based on necessity…
We take into account the financial situation of our families who apply to receive a scholarship and make sure to make fair decisions on the amounts allocated to each student based on this information. Our board of directors strictly look over the list of allocations and ensure that it is fair.
Many of our events are free and open to the public, but on the rare occasion that we charge entrance to a fundraiser concert such as our Faculty Concerts in November, All EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare Discount card holders are admitted free of charge to all of our events. Mass Cultural Council's Card to Culture program is in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the WIC Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector.
