Nurturing Environment
Early Beginners is designed to introduce very young children to an instrument in a fun and gentle way. Classes meet weekly for 45 minutes (three or four students) or for 30 minutes (two students).
Social Development
In addition to teaching basic instrumental techniques, Early Beginners emphasizes the development of social skills such as listening, waiting, and following the leader.
Easy Transition
Early Beginners introduces parents to the Suzuki philosophy of education, and students are ready to transition to The Core Program after one-to-two semesters.
How to enroll
Step 1: Meeting the Registrar
The first step in our enrollment process is to get in contact with the Registrar. You can choose to set up an online meeting to ask questions via Zoom, or ask questions via email about the programs to clarify any confusion.
Please send an email to email@suzukinewton.org to get in touch and set up a meeting.
Step 2: Observation & Readiness Assessment
In order to give you an inside look into our program, we invite parents and students enrolling in Early Beginners to observe a class or individual lesson with one of our young students. Prospective Early Beginners students will also meet with one of our faculty members to assess their readiness for learning an instrument.
Step 3: Scheduling & Registration
After you have completed your observation requirement, the Registrar will work closely with you to put together your schedule, guide you through our registration forms and policies, and help you set up a tuition payment plan.
