Suzuki By The Green


Suzuki By The Green returns after several years hiatus offering an all-piano institute featuring both Suzuki Piano Teacher Training and a Suzuki Piano Student Event hosted by the Suzuki School of Newton at 1615 Beacon Street, Waban, MA 02468.

Student Institute

Monday-Thursday June 30-July 3, 2025: 3:30 – 6:30 pm

Piano Books 1-3: One Master Class, One Group Class daily

Piano Books 4-6: One Master Class, One Group Class, One Ensemble Class daily



Students in Books 1-3 (Tuition $245 by May 30) will received two classes daily between 3:30-

6:30 pm: a shared masterclass and a piano group class where each participant has their own

piano or keyboard for true ensemble playing.   



Students in Suzuki Piano Books 4-6 (Tuition $365 by May 30) will received three classes daily

between 3:30-6:30 pm: a shared masterclass, a piano group/technique class, and chamber

music/trio class.

Teacher Institute

Suzuki Piano Unit 1 (Tuition $915 by May 30) is being offered by SAA Teacher Trainer

Blancamaria Montecinos at SBTG 2025. It is highly recommended that at least a portion of this

course be taken in-person at the Suzuki School of Newton (Massachusetts). This course will

meet online on Wednesday-Friday, June 25-27, 2025 and in-person June 30-July 3, 2025 in

conjunction with the SBTG Student Institute.

Schedule and Hours

Wednesday-Friday June 25-27 AND from Monday-Thursday June 30-July 3:  from 10:00 - 12:00

and 1:00 to 3:00 pm for each of these seven days.

In addition, observation of masterclasses will

be required Monday-Thursday June 30-July 3 from 3:30-5:30 pm.  Additional observations of

lessons and group classes will be provided via videos as homework. Participants should allow

for ample time for at-home assignments and practicing.

This course is designed so that it can also be taken as 100% in-person course. There is no

class time over the weekend of June 28-29, 2025 for participants to enjoy visiting the Boston

area,

As a hybrid course: June 25-27 sessions can be online, and the June 30-July 3 sessions be

taken in person in conjunction with the Student Institute.

Additional events will include a potluck supper on Monday evening, and a student recital on

Wednesday evening.   The SBTG will conclude on Thursday at the end of the last student

masterclass. However, teachers will be offered a Breakfast meet-up on Friday, July 4th for those

who are still available and would like to consult and converse with our two SAA Piano Teacher

Trainers:  Blancamaria Montecinos and Sachiko Isihar
