Less is More
Less activities may mean more energy for the important activities we choose to keep. Setting our priorities and time management are difficult tasks to get right for everyone. For the sake of our children, sometimes giving them less, is actually giving them more
Are we accomplishing our goal?
We wish to nurture our students to become noble hearted human beings who can be our future leaders with sensitivity, discipline and endurance. We want our students to be creative individuals who share a love of learning and a love of music. But most of all, we desire our students to be sensitive individuals. In this difficult world situation, we must all develop empathy towards one another as many struggle emotionally, financially and spiritually. We aspire that our students can be nurturing individuals and create a positive environment for others in the spirit of Dr.Suzuki's educational philosophy.
Our Musicians are like Athletes
Dr. Suzuki said, "Perhaps it is music that can save the world." In order to bring attention to injustice and inequity, each action we take can make a difference. Perhaps we cannot save the world, but maybe we can change it a little through our actions, through our music, and through our voices.
In praise of Parents and Adult Learners
The Suzuki community is where we all believe that talent is nurtured. Hard work and successful repetition lead to skills that become easy and then effortless. This is perceived as talent, but in truth it is learned skill. Your ability will also grow with time and patience. Yes, every child can―but also every adult can, too!
